None of us (at least not most of us) are very fond of the unknown. So, before
you come check us out in person, we want to give you an idea of what you
might be in for on a typical Sunday. First of all, you should know there's
no "dress code" at Harvest. You'll see people in jeans and t-shirts,
and you'll see a few in a little more flashy attire. So come as you are! And, once you arrive... Welcome - It starts with a warm, friendly atmosphere. You'll be greeted at the door by a member of our host team, who will also be glad to answer any questions you might have--including where to find the coffee! They can help you find a seat, if you'd like, and their goal is to make you as comfortable as possible. Worship - After an opening song and a brief welcome, we take about 20 minutes or so to worship in song. Our "concert-style" worship allows you to express yourself in any way you feel comfortable--no pressure to do anything in a certain way! After all, our focus in worship is on God, not on ourselves. Teaching - We'll then transition into the message, given by one of our teaching pastors or, from time to time, a guest speaker. Relevant, challenging, real... These are just a few of the words you could use to describe what you'll hear during Sunday's message. We want to give you something you can take with you and apply to your life in the real world, seven days a week. We want you to grow in your relationship with Christ and in your relationships with others. Prayer - We wrap the service up with prayer. During our Harvest @ 5 service, we also make a prayer team available,
should you have any specific needs you would like someone to pray with
you about. |
